Child Safety and Parental Consent Policy

Version | Effective:

3.1 Our commitment

Children can take part in Dhun Dil Ki contests only in a safe, supervised way. We follow the DPDP Act, 2023, which requires verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian before processing a child's personal data, and which prohibits tracking, behavioural monitoring and targeted advertising directed at children.

3.2 Who can take part

  • A child under 18 can enter only through an account created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian.
  • The guardian provides their own details, their relationship to the child, and the child's name and date of birth. We may verify guardian contact details by OTP or email link, and may ask for further proof where needed.
  • A guardian may register more than one child.
  • We may refuse or cancel participation if age or guardianship cannot be confirmed.

The guardian must separately agree that they are the parent or legal guardian, consent to the collection and use of the child's data, and consent to the child's participation, including the public display of the child's performance as described below. We keep a record of each consent with the date, time, policy version and technical details. The guardian can withdraw consent at any time from their Profile or by email; the child's entries are then removed from public view and deleted as described in this policy.

3.3 What is shown publicly about a minor

  • Only the first name and age group are shown. We do not show surname, address, city, school, phone number or email.
  • Profile photos are shown only if the guardian allows it.
  • The performance (audio or video) is shown on the contest page and voting page, as these are essential for the contest.
  • 3.4 Money and prizes

All payments (entry fees, vote packs, wallet) are made by the guardian. A minor's profile can never hold or receive money. KYC is completed by the guardian, and any prize is paid to the guardian's verified bank account.

3.5 Contact and tracking

  • There is no direct messaging or commenting to or from minor profiles.
  • We do not track, profile or show targeted ads to minors.
  • We do not use a child's data for any purpose other than running the contest and the services the guardian has agreed to.
  • 3.6 Deleting content and data

A guardian can unpublish or delete the child's performance, or ask us to delete the child's data, at any time from the Profile page or by email to support@dhundilki.com. We act on such requests within 7 days. Some records (such as payment and tax records) must be kept as required by law.

3.7 Reporting a concern

Anyone can report a video or profile using the report button on public pages, or by emailing support@dhundilki.com with the subject "Child safety". We review reports on priority, usually within 24 hours, remove content that puts a child at risk, and report serious matters to the authorities, including under the POCSO Act, 2012 and the IT Act, 2000.

3.8 Zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for any abuse, exploitation, grooming or sexualisation of children. Accounts involved are permanently banned and reported to the authorities.

3.9 Advice for guardians

Please supervise your child's use, think carefully before sharing personal details in a performance, and contact us if anything feels wrong.
