1.1 About these terms
Dhun Dil Ki is an online platform where singers and musicians enter contests, share performances, and receive votes from the public. By creating an account, entering a contest or voting, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, the Child Safety Policy, the Contest Rules and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1.2 Who can use the Platform
- **Adults (18 and above)** can register and participate in their own name.
- **Children (under 18)** can participate only through a parent or legal guardian. The guardian creates and controls the account, gives consent, and handles all payments and prize money. See the Child Safety Policy.
- Contests may have age categories: Junior (under 13), Teen (13 to 17) and Open (18 and above). An entry is accepted only if the participant's age on the contest start date fits the category.
- You must give true information, including your date of birth. We may ask for proof of age or relationship at any time.
1.3 Your account
You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your password, authenticator app and passkeys safe. Tell us immediately at support@dhundilki.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We may use two-step verification to protect accounts.
1.4 Contests and entries
- Each contest has its own page showing the category, entry fee (if any), dates, prizes and rules.
- An entry is complete only when the performance is uploaded or recorded, any entry fee is paid, and we accept it.
- You may enter only original performances, or performances you have the legal right to use. You are responsible for music, lyrics and other rights.
- We may reject, hold or remove an entry that breaks these Terms, the Contest Rules or the Community Guidelines.
1.5 Your content and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of your performances and other content. You give Dhun Dil Ki a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, play, reproduce and promote your content on the Platform and on our official social media pages, for the purpose of running contests, voting, results and promotion. For content of a minor, this licence applies only as described in the Child Safety Policy, and the guardian can withdraw it and ask us to remove the content at any time. The licence for removed content ends once it is deleted, except for backup copies that are removed in the normal cycle and for content already shared with the public that we cannot recall.
1.6 Voting
Votes must be genuine. Any person may vote under the rules of the contest. Paid vote packs are subject to the Refund Policy. Fake votes, bots, vote buying, multiple accounts and automated tools are prohibited (see 1.7 and the Contest Rules).
1.7 What you must not do
- Upload content that is unlawful, obscene, sexual, hateful, violent, defamatory or that infringes someone's rights.
- Pretend to be another person or enter on someone else's behalf without permission.
- Manipulate votes, scores or rankings in any way.
- Attempt to hack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the Platform.
- Contact minors on the Platform in any inappropriate way.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
1.8 Disqualification and enforcement
If we find, in our reasonable judgement, a breach of these Terms or the Contest Rules, we may remove content, cancel votes, disqualify an entry, withhold prizes, suspend or close an account, and report matters to the authorities where the law requires. Entry fees and vote pack payments are not refunded in case of disqualification for breach.
1.9 Prizes, KYC and tax
- Prize money is paid only after the winner (for a minor, the guardian) completes KYC and gives valid bank details.
- Prizes are paid to the verified bank account of the adult winner or guardian, never directly to a minor.
- Tax, including tax deducted at source, is deducted as required by Indian law. The winner is responsible for any other tax on prizes.
- If we cannot reach a winner or complete KYC within a reasonable time after results, we may treat the prize as forfeited and award it according to the Contest Rules.
1.10 Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not store your card or UPI credentials. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
1.11 Intellectual property
The Platform, its design, logo, name "Dhun Dil Ki" and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them without written permission.
1.12 Disclaimers and limits of liability
We work to keep the Platform available and accurate but provide it "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or any particular contest outcome. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
1.13 Suspension and closing your account
You may stop using the Platform and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should continue (for example licences already granted, payments due, liability and disputes) continue after closure.
1.14 Changes
We may update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will tell you on the Platform or by email and, where required, ask you to accept again. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
1.15 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. First, please write to us at support@dhundilki.com so we can try to resolve the issue (see the Grievance Redressal page). If it is not resolved, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
