Contest Rules and Eligibility

Version | Effective:

5.1 Eligibility

Open to residents of India who meet the age rules in the Terms. Minors take part through a guardian. Employees of Dhun Dil Ki, judges and their immediate family may not enter the contest they work on.

5.2 Age categories

Junior (under 13), Teen (13 to 17), Open (18 and above), or as stated on each contest page. Age is counted on the contest start date.

5.3 How to enter

Register, choose a contest, record or upload your performance, pay the entry fee if any, and submit before the closing date. Each contest page states the allowed length, language, and format. Late or incomplete entries are not considered.

5.4 Originality and rights

Performances must be your own, or properly licensed. You are responsible for any copyright clearance. Entries that infringe rights will be removed.

5.5 How winners are chosen

The final score is made of two parts:

  • **Judges' score: 70%.** The average of the scores given by the judges, converted to a 0 to 100 scale.
  • **Public voting score: 30%.** An entry's votes compared with the entry with the most votes in the same contest, on a 0 to 100 scale.

Final score = (Judges' score × 70%) + (Voting score × 30%). The weights are stored in the platform settings and may be changed by us for future contests; the weights for each contest are shown on its page. An entry that has not yet been judged cannot be declared a winner.

Tie-break: higher judges' score, then higher number of votes, then earlier submission time.

5.6 Voting rules

Voting is open during the voting period shown on the contest page. Only genuine votes count. We use technical checks to detect fake or automated votes and may cancel such votes, and take action against the entries that benefit from them.

5.7 Fraud and disqualification

Vote buying, bots, fake accounts, vote exchange groups, plagiarism, impersonation or any attempt to manipulate results leads to cancellation of votes and may lead to disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.

5.8 Results and prizes

Results are announced on the Platform. Winners must complete KYC. Prizes are paid to the verified bank account of the adult winner or the guardian within 30 days of result declaration, or of KYC completion if later, after tax deductions required by law. Non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash unless stated.

5.9 Decisions

The decisions of the judges and of Dhun Dil Ki on scores, disqualification and results are final, subject to the Grievance Redressal process.

5.10 Changes and cancellation

We may change dates or cancel a contest for reasons such as technical failure, fraud, low participation or legal requirements. Refunds follow the Refund Policy.
